Nick St Nicholas

Nick St. Nicholas, born Klaus Karl Kassbaum on April 28, 1943, is a German-American musician best known as a bassist and vocalist, primarily associated with rock music. He gained prominence as a member of the band Steppenwolf, where he contributed to their iconic sound in the late 1960s and early 1970s. St. Nicholas played a key role in the band’s success, participating in classic tracks such as "Born to Be Wild" and "Magic Carpet Ride." Beyond Steppenwolf, St. Nicholas was a member of the band The Sparrow, which later evolved into Steppenwolf. He also contributed to various projects, including collaborations with artists like The Doors and his own solo work.
